ABOUT JUNIE B. JONES AND 13
Junie B. Jones, The Musical Jr. is a delightful adaptation of four of Barbara Park’s best-selling books, brought to life in a musical comedy for all ages. It’s the sassy diva Junie B.’s first day of first grade, and a lot of things have changed for her: new friend’s, new cafeteria lady, new kickball tournament, and new glasses! First grade has never been so exciting or funny!
Returning to the Woodford Theatre’s Summer Academy for a new generation is Jason Robert Brown’s 13: The Musical. When 13-year-old Evan Goldman is plucked from his Manhattan life to move to Appleton, Indiana with his Mother, he has one mission: get all the cool kids in school to come to his Bar Mitzvah, or else spend the rest of his academic career banished to the land of the Geeks. 13 is a show about finding out who you are, finding out what you need, and finding out what’s really important.
