What is Woodford Theatre?
Woodford Theatre is a community performing arts organization located inside Falling Springs Center in Versailles, Kentucky. The mission of Woodford Theatre, founded in 1988, is to provide quality live theatre. We fulfill our mission by producing a season of live performances; by involving volunteers in all aspects of the process; by offering lifelong learning opportunities in the arts for all ages; and by maintaining a sound business structure that is fiscally responsible.
Woodford Theatre is a vital component of the cultural life in Woodford County and Central Kentucky. Our vision is to produce work that will be consistently excellent, accessible, and respected.
What are Woodford Theatre’s Box Office hours?
The Woodford Theatre box office is open Tuesday through Friday from 10am – 5pm with limited hours during holidays.
Is Woodford Theatre a non-profit organization?
Yes! Woodford Theatre is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. We welcome your support in any amount. Make a Donation Today!
What types of shows do you present?
We feature a wide variety of plays, musicals, and youth-oriented productions every season. Take a look at our current season!
When do the doors open?
On performance days, the house (the theatre) opens thirty minutes prior to start time. The main Falling Springs lobby is open well in advance of each performance.
Where do I pick-up my Will Call tickets?
The Box Office is located just inside the main doors of Falling Springs - to the left as you enter. The Box Office opens one hour prior to the start time of a performance.
What is your resale policy?
Tickets that are not picked up 5 minutes prior to curtain time are liable to be resold by the theatre to patrons whose names are on a waitlist. The waitlist will open one hour prior to curtain time. You must be present to put your name on the waitlist and to purchase any unclaimed tickets.
Is photography or recording allowed?
Video or audio recording of any kind during a performance is prohibited unless specifically sanctioned at the time of a performance. While non-flash photography is allowed, we encourage you to put away your devices and enjoy the show!
The event for which you purchase tickets to is a public event, and your appearance and actions inside and outside the venue where the event occurs are public in nature, and that you have no expectation of privacy with regard to your actions or conduct at the event.
Can I bring my kids?
Yes! We have family-friendly Mainstage shows and concerts throughout the year. When purchasing tickets to a Woodford Theatre show, we recommend that you take a glance at our content rating so you can best judge whether a show is appropriate for your children.
Can I bring my dog?
Fully certified service dogs to assist persons with disabilities are always welcome at Woodford Theatre. While we love animals, for the preservation of our theatre and safety of other patrons, non-certified service dogs and other pets are not allowed at Woodford Theatre.
Do you sell food and beverages?
Yes! Concessions featuring candy, soda, and water are sold at most Woodford Theatre performances.
Attire?
While there is no dress code at Woodford Theatre, we recommend attire that is mindful to other visitors, and comfortable clothing appropriate for the weather and the air conditioning that keeps our performers and audience cool during the summer months.
Security?
We greatly appreciate your cooperation with all necessary security measures at Woodford Theatre. Large bags, luggage, or other bulky belongings are not allowed inside the theatre. Woodford Theatre Management reserves the right to limit access to the theatre for any reason.
Please recognize that you assume any and all risks occurring before, during, and after an event at Woodford Theatre, including injury by any cause. By attending events, you release management, facility, participants, and their respective affiliates and representatives from any related claims.
Food & Drink allowed inside the theatre?
Drinks with a closable lid are allowed in the theatre, but other food and drink needs to be consumed in the lobby area prior to entering the theatre.
Please note: excessive wrinkling of wrappers, chewing, or crunching during a performance is not enjoyable for anyone.
Disturbances During The Show?
Please report any disturbances during the show (security concerns included) directly to the House Manager or to box office staff in the main lobby.
Lost & Found?
We do have a lost and found. Please contact the box office at 859.873.0648 to claim lost items.
Is Smoking Allowed?
Woodford Theatre, located inside Falling Springs Arts and Recreation Center, is a completely smoke-free facility. This includes all forms of e-cigarettes and vapes.
Is Woodford Theatre accessible?
Yes! Woodford Theatre is fully accessible by wheelchair and other mobility assistance devices. Please call ahead to purchase seats that are accessible.
Aisles?
Our aisles are arranged in a stadium style pattern with stairs. Accessible seating is located from the main lobby entrance to the theatre.
Assisted Listening Devices?
Woodford Theatre offers sound amplification devices for those who require additional personal amplification of our performances. Headsets may be acquired at the box office prior to the performance free-of-charge.
