Michael is a theatre artist and educator who loves using his time to create memorable moments on the stage and to mentor anyone interested in growing their technical theatre skill set. He is also a husband and a father. His wife, Evender, and their two wonderful daughters, Olivia and Audrey, have all been seen on Woodford’s stage.

Michael earned his Bachelor of Arts (Theatre/Philosophy) from Transylvania University in 2004 and his Master of Arts (Theatre) from the University of Kentucky in 2012. He has served as the Technical Director for the Downtown Arts Center (Lexington, KY), the Nashville Children’s Theatre (Nashville, TN), and as the Scenic Designer, Lighting Designer, Technical Director, and Assistant Professor of Theatre at Transylvania University (Lexington, KY).

He has spent more than twenty years working professionally as a Lighting Designer, Scenic Designer, Technical Director, Educator, and more. His collaborations with Woodford Theatre began in 2010, and his scenic design and painting skills have been seen here with Blithe Spirit, Lend Me A Tenor, and several more.
